16 Nations, 34 locations, and many amazing people
Youth With A Mission Central Europe is an international mission movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), our purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known.
The Central European region stretches from Poland in the north to Greece in the south, and from the Black Sea in the east to the Adriatic Sea in the west. With a population of 134 million people, this is a diverse and culturally colorful area. YWAM Central Europe is comprised of 16 beautiful nations, all of which are filled with unique people groups, landscapes, and cultures. Throughout this region, we have both large missional communities, as well as small teams of missionaries – some of which have been serving their communities for decades, while others are currently in the process of pioneering. Amongst our numerous locations, you will find many Discipleship Training Schools (DTS), secondary schools with YWAM’s University of the Nations (U of N), as well as a myriad of ministries in every shape and form.
We encourage each individual to serve in ministries that fit their unique, God-given giftings. Three main areas we focus on as a mission are evangelism, training, and mercy ministry. Like in 1960 when YWAM was founded, we still focus on championing our youth, but it has expanded into much more than that! People who volunteer with us range from young, vibrant youth to families to the wise and experienced, and everyone in between.
YWAM has a decentralized structure that encourages new vision and the exploration of new ways to change lives through training, convey the message of the gospel, and care for those in need.
We long to see the people of Central Europe fully alive and redeemed, walking in their true identity and intimacy with Jesus, and uniquely influencing the nations with the gospel of the kingdom of God.

How to Become a Full-Time YWAMer
However you feel called to serve God, you can likely do it in YWAM Central Europe! Being on staff with YWAM is an adventure in faith and in life. You can join our staff at one of our numerous locations for a couple of years or stay for life! In many of our locations, one of the joys of joining staff is to serve side-by-side with people from a variety of nations.
To join YWAM staff you first need to complete a Discipleship Training School (DTS). DTS is the prerequisite to all our other trainings and opportunities, and is offered at many of our locations here in Central Europe.
