After an encouraging time on Zoom with our CE staff last week, this week we were able to connect with our DTS staff teams in 14 regional locations.
Even in this uncertain and unexpected time, God is at work and He is speaking!
Many encouraging reports were shared of how God has sparked creative solutions so that some of the current Discipleship Training Schools could still be fully completed, in spite of this unforeseen “90 degree curve.”
As a region, we rejoiced over the first Sign Language DTS and prayed for wisdom and God’s timing in finishing the school, as it has been put on hold due to the pandemic.
Even though some of our spring and summer DTSes had to be canceled, we are excited and looking forward to welcoming new students in the near future.

Along with the encouraging words that we’ve already heard about pruning, multiplication, rest, etc. we continue to listen to what the Lord is saying. We looked at Habakkuk 2:1-2—

“I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the Lord replied: “’Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.’”

What is our position? Are we standing firm? What is our vision? Why do we run DTS? These are all good questions that we should be asking ourselves on a regular basis.
We were encouraged to position ourselves in prayer and lead from a place of full surrender to God. We shouldn’t be satisfied with what we’ve already seen and what’s comfortable. Rather, we should use this time to dream big with our Father and prepare ourselves for what He wants to accomplish through us! We are all looking forward to the new ways in which we’ll get to do what we love- seeing young people’s lives being transformed, one person at a time, through a personal encounter with Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

So, come back soon to check out more of the God stories that will come from this time!
