How to sum up the YWAM CESG that was held at the end of May in Vajta, Hungary? Not easily – it was 4 days with 150 people in a fantastic place with great speakers and informative workshops, lovely times of worship, fun fellowship in the pool; everything you expect when the YWAM family comes together for a gathering!
Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what it was like: We started off in a smaller group of leaders (about 70) for the first day:
During this time we had great sessions with Al Akimoff and Mike Oman:
And also prayed in three new members of the CELT (Central European Leadership Team): Helga Nurnberg and Chris and Mirjam Klop: joining Wolfgand Jani and Ad de Bruin in helping Carmelita Clarke lead the Central European region.
Then we were joined by another 80 people, and our main speaker for the weekend was YWAM England’s leader, Carl Tinnion:
He was a fantastic speaker, and he also had a lot of visual aids which definitely helped us to remember what he was talking on: Pioneering and Partnerships:
We will never forget the walking on water, getting out of the box, and the new man… and making sure that we are constantly doing new things in new ways…Thanks Carl for giving us lots to think about.
We also had great times of worship: The worship team was made up of people from all over: Finland, Serbia, Romania, Sweden and the US and they were amazing! Thank you Mirjam and Marko and the rest of the team for doing such a great job for us!
We had workshops on the one afternoon, ranging from coaching to trafficking to family ministries to pioneering: there really was something for everyone. The below photo is of Al and Carolyn running the workshop on the very important topic of Trafficking:
The place was phenomenal: The Calvary Chapel Conference Centre in Vajta, Hungary: It is a former Castle, and it is beautiful!
There was a wonderful children’s and teen program provided by the PCYM (Principals in Child and Youth Ministry) school from Constanta, Romania. Here are the teens (and their program leaders) enjoying the volleyball court:
And we all enjoyed the use of the lovely big swimming pool! And it was extremely useful for practicing our “walking on water” skills as Carl advised us to do: more about that in the summary video below…
